All my life I’ve had an inner critic that is loud and proud. That critical voice is there waiting for me to mess up or fail just so that it can rake me over the coals. Lately, I’ve been aware of the narrative my inner critic strings along and wants me to believe. And I’ve practiced calling it nonsensical bullshit and spoke the truth that comes from a deep sense of peace. A peace that, I believe, was in me all along. I just couldn’t notice it because of my BFF inner critic. Now, the peace is greater than the critic. The silence is louder than the noise. And I’m getting good at calling out the bullshit.
