When I became a mom in 2018, I wrestled with the belief that my identity was now absorbed into my child’s identity. And that meant I needed to put my child’s needs first above my own. And I learned that was the fast track to burnout. Over these past 3 years of motherhood I have witnessed my desires and manifestations of doing motherhood differently. And not only bare my child and the way that he emerges, but more importantly, I get to bare my own.
